Irene

Hi! My name is Irene, and I’m moving to New Zealand this October with my boyfriend, Gaizka, who is a chef. I’m originally from Spain and I work in education, coordinating programs to help students improve their English before going abroad. I love learning new languages, discovering different cultures, and connecting with people from all over the world. We’re excited to start this new chapter in NZ, meet new friends, and immerse ourselves in the local community. We’re responsible, tidy, and friendly, and we’re looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to live while we settle in and start working. Our motivation for moving is both professional and personal: I want to grow in my career in education, experience life in a new country, and enjoy everything New Zealand has to offer. Gaizka is passionate about cooking and is looking forward to working in the hospitality industry, bringing his creativity and energy to the kitchen. We’re hoping to find a place where we can feel at home, meet great people, and contribute positively to the household.

We’re looking for friendly, respectful, and easy-going flatmates who value a clean and welcoming home. Ideally, people who enjoy socializing occasionally but also respect personal space. We appreciate flatmates who are responsible with bills and household chores, and who are open to sharing meals or cooking together sometimes, as Gaizka is a chef and loves experimenting in the kitchen! We’re open to living with locals or internationals, students or professionals, as long as there’s a positive and friendly atmosphere. We value good communication, mutual respect, and a sense of community at home.
